Kinja'd!!!

During October in this part of the Northern Hemisphere house mice find the climate outside to be a little less clement than before and so they come in out of the cold. Many of us don't welcome our little visitors and so we get out our mousetraps.

I've just collected our first victim of the season and while disposing of it I discovered that the poor creature was (a) male and (b) in a state of considerable (in mouse terms), er, excitement post mortem. Does this mean that he had a happy demise?

Ever heard of autoerotic asphyxiation?

Not one of my hobbies, unlike the say late Michael Hutchence who's thought to have taken it to its ultimate conclusion.

I think your mouse may have taken a page out of his book. In excess, if you will...

Extra Internet points for using the word "clement."

You seem to be having pretty good luck with the trap, but try Fritos for bait and see what happens.

Not actually mine but it's the same basic idea. Safe for humans, less so for small rodents.

Yes. There have been many a times I got my fingers trapped in a not-safe-for-human trap... No fun.
